Methodist Social Services offer a Food Bank service that will provide a family with a food package that is intended to last a few days.
Methodist Social Services offer councelling services. They connect people with an intervention and advocacy service (Manawatu Community Law Centre). They also offer family education, anger management, managing challenges, managing grief and loss, 'Friends for Life' (managing anxiety), and parenting through separation services.
Methodist Social Services requires clients to present photo ID, such as a driver's licence, when using the food bank service. Customers may recieve two food packages per year without any further requirements. If a third food package is required within the year, the client will be required to enrol in Methodist Social Services' budgeting support, or social work service.
The service is available to families and individuals who are residents of Palmerston North.
The drop off point for any one wishing to donate is 663 Main Street, Palmerston North.
